Faking it

I have always been a strong advocate for acquiring 'the real thing' when it comes to design. Many times I have advised clients to hold off until they could either afford or source an original product rather than a cheap fake.

However, the latest breed of wallpapers are slowly convincing me to think otherwise. These exquisite wallpapers add high end drama without the expense. Whether you want to experiment with period features such as pressed tin or intricate ironwork or try something a little more modern such as concrete there is an option to suit all tastes. Here are some of Wink and Co's favourites.

Textile love | Bonnie and Neil

Wink & Co love Bonnie & Neil and their amazing range of creative homewares and furniture. We love the vibrant colours and natural fabrics of their tableware and bed linen range and are currently working some of their pieces into a bedroom revamp we are doing for a client. All of their products are handmade and hand-printed using water-based inks mixed onsite at the studio.  They have also just released an exciting new product range - timber tiles. These stunning tiles are all inspired by hand painted ceramics and are a decorative alternative to wallpaper in areas such as the living room and bedroom.

We also adore their reclaimed shadow boxes which are handmade from Tasmanian oak reclaimed from old houses. The boxes feature botanical and geometric designs, and can be stacked on mantles, used as bedside tables, under patios as shelves, or however you wish -  the list is endless.

Here are a few of our favourite pieces from the current collection.

Wink & Co Featured on Lacing Raindrops

Firstly, let me start off this post by apologising for the long lapse in posts! Life has been crazy busy with so many things happening. We have just returned from two weeks holiday in Bali (which never fails to disappoint) and have been hard at it completing a number of client jobs which are nearing completion. This cool weather has had me rugged up at night with a glass of wine or tea foraging the net for inspiration and working on some exciting designs for our clients and not leaving much time to give you all some love here on the blog. I promise to get my butt back into gear and to spread the love.
In the meantime, I wanted to bring your attention to a good friend and fellow blogger, Carling Reid of Lacing Raindrops.
